David Ringholz is a practitioner and educator with more than a decade of teaching and design experience. His professional design activities include usability research, web development, graphic design, industrial design, commercial interior design and manufacturing. During his award-winning career, he has worked on projects with Coca-Cola, Fossil, Sony-Ericsson, Newell-Rubbermaid, Philips, Freescale Semiconductor, Sunbeam, Target, Home Depot, and others.
In 2006, the Design Futures Council recognized him as one of the most admired Design Educators in the US. In 2010, he joined the faculty at Iowa State University as Director of a brand new Industrial Design program.
Ringholz is working with the BBRT to demonstrate how industrial design can act as a vehicle for showcasing what is possible with biopolymers and moving this technology into the mainstream.
