Tour Descriptions

 

As part of the Workshop, tours will be scheduled to give you a close-up look at biocomposites and biopolymers research happening at Iowa State University. The tours will be expanded to include more lab facilities. Descriptions of last year's tours are listed below.

Thermal and Mechanical Analysis Laboratory

The Thermal and Mechanical Analysis Lab offers a full range of thermal analysis and mecahnical characterization services. For more information check out the Lab's web site.

 

Technology Transfer Pilot Plant

The technology transfer pilot plant is a 3,000 square feet facility made for industrial products processing. This facility houses a plastic film and sheet extruder, compression and injection molding machines, and mixing and mechanical testing equipment.
